From an economic point of view, the exceptionally advantageous geographical location and comprehensive technical equipment of the international airports of Ashgabat, Turkmenbashi, Mary, Dashoguz , Turkmenabat and Kerki make it possible to perform technical landings and provide ground handling to aircraft of foreign airlines at a high level. And despite the current difficult situation around the world due to the COVID -19 pandemic, the aircrafts of foreign airlines perform technical landings at all international airports of Turkmenistan and are provided with ground handling services in accordance with international requirements.
As is known, the formation of a modern transport and communication system is one of the priorities of the economic strategy of Turkmenistan. Occupying an exceptionally advantageous geographical position - at the crossroads of regional and interregional routes of communication running through Central Asia, our country has a huge transit potential, which it strives to realize with maximum efficiency.
